David and I were in the hands of a clock always together, but often apart meeting in the middle at two points in the day. The middle of the clock always joined our constant. We could be separate but together. He could be 5 pm and I, 7:45 pm. Opposite sides of the dials. He allowed me to be, I allowed him his privacy, his ways. We provided security and love most of all a deep friendship and that which I nursed him during his final moments. His last goodbye was beautiful, poignant, the music filled the pauses. I feel we had a special, blessed ending a finale now I will plan his wishes. It’s not as easy to start with the unexpected journey without him, in my heart I knew this day might come. David is it up is at peace and I am at peace with David. London was his home, his life, he was a true Londoner, sometimes quiet, considered, the opposite of my Latin spirit. He had intrigue and mystery. I never fully could read his mind which is a nice gift to have in any relationship. He was generous of wallet and spirit, his dining hospitality was legendary. He was an introvert comfortable in his own skin. He was so alluring and had a magnetism which you would call gentlemanly.
